Why "Momentous"?

The vision behind CrossFit Momentous actually began several years back through friendships established at a local CrossFit box. With the like-minded passion to affect people’s lives physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually, the owners (Josh Gamblin and Rolando Mestre), after much consideration, launched out on a venture to make the “momentous mindset” a reality.

By definition, the word “momentous” means “of great importance or significance, especially in its bearing on the future; consequential”. With that in mind, and understanding the struggle people face with maintaining health and wellness, Josh and Rolo seized the opportunity to follow their passion, combining it with their love for, and the effectiveness of, CrossFit.

There is no doubt that many people face an uphill battle with their health and wellness due to lack of knowledge, lack of proper training/instruction, or just lack of motivation. CF Momentous was established with the mindset that the moment a person steps into our box, it literally becomes an opportunity to turn that person’s life upside down for the better.

Fitness, wellness, health is a day-by-day decision and commitment. Each day that a person makes that decision to commit their time to CF Momentous and its program, quite literally, bears “life-changing” consequences that can affect their future in the way they move, and probably most importantly, in the way they think and feel.

ABOUT OUR BOX

If you always do what you always did, you’ll always get what you always got.

CrossFit Momentous is located in Austell, Ga, just west of Atlanta, and only a few miles from both I-20 and I-285. We have strived to build a high quality facility and staff with only the best of the best. Our coaching staff has over 20 years in combined CrossFit experience. We have dedicated ourselves to furthering our knowledge of functional fitness and are positive we can help you reach your fitness goals.

Our program is based on CrossFit methodology. This means we do constantly varied, functional movements (like squats, push-ups, deadlifts, etc.) performed at a high-intensity. Functional movements are organic in nature, innate to our DNA and essential to our quality of life. We train for longevity, we train for health and most of all, we train for fun.

In our gym, we have pull-up bars, ropes and rings. We have free weights and kettlebells. We have rowing machines and jump ropes. But most importantly, we are a group unique individuals that make up a family. Our goal is to have a community of athletes of all abilities led by coaches driven to excellence in their approach to learning, and therefore, their approach to training. We teach movements, coach form and inspire group workouts many times a day. We will strive to make sure that everyday you leave us feeling a little bit (or a lot) better than how you entered.
